Ive recently gotten into Tarkov and remember there being quite a lot of videos talking about 10 minute scav timers and the response was pretty positive. Why did it get pushed up to 20 minutes? Did too many scavs spawn in maps too often? It seemed to be helping a lot of new ... Is scav cooldown significantly longer than before? 14. Finally BSG is nerfing something I can get along with, they should make it even more. No reason people need to be scaving every 20 minutes, let alone every 5 when you have max karma. Didn't work for me, i just feel scav runs is like in slower tempo, just a bit distracted and chill, and that a rollercoaster between chilling on a scav and sweating on pmc. Scavs and pmc’s alike will store karma throughout the raid so that pmc probably killed a few scavs before you brought him down. The base pmc kill karma benefit is the same 0.01 as killing a bad player scav. The Scav is a low-risk, high-reward character that won’t contribute toward much character progression in Escape from Tarkov. As a new player, use the Scav to start their cooldown and get easy loot. For the next raid, take out your PMC to try and gain levels by looting and killing enemies.Improved Scav Equipment: Scav characters will now have a higher chance of spawning with better equipment, increasing their odds of survival and success in raids.
