Another good test to isolate the key switch/harness wiring from the battery/starter system is to jump the solenoid to engage the starter. Do this: 1) Disconnect small solenoid wire from the starter. 2) turn key to run position. 3) using a conductor, jump the starter motor battery terminal to the solenoid terminal.
