Robert Budd Dwyer was born on November 21, 1939 in Saint Charles, Missouri to middle class parents. He was good in academics and accountancy being one of his favourite subjects he wanted to pursue a career in accounting once he grew up. But somehow, he later took political science as his major and decided to enter politics.Sentencing was scheduled for January 23, 1987. On December 15, 1987, Dwyer held a meeting at his home with press secretary James Horshock, and Deputy Treasurer Don Johnson. With a week to go before sentencing, Dwyer wanted to make a statement, to the press.
