After a tiny amount of prep time, you dance forwards, twirling the poleblade to deal death by a thousand cuts. Every time your enemy gets hit they get blood loss build-up in addition to a hefty chunk of fire damage. This weapon art is the reason why Eleonora’s Poleblade is a great weapon for Arcane builds.
May 10, 2022 · Eleonora’s Poleblade deals physical and fire damage, which inflicts blood loss build up and does high stagger. Making it an excellent choice for Endgame and High-Level PvP. Apart from its impressive stats, it also has a unique heavy attack, which can be used both one-handed and two-handed. Lord of Blood's Exultation gives you a 20% damage boost every time you bleed an enemy which should be all the time. Prosthesis wearer's Heirloom gives you 5 dexterity which will boost your physical damage with the weapon. Blood Lords,Milicent prostesis, Alexander shard or rotten wing, great-jar if you want decent armor.Any weapon that scales primarily with Arcane is good for a Dragon Communion build since it allows you to invest runes into a single damage stat and get the most from both the incantations and melee damage. Eleonora's Poleblade is probably my personal favourite, and its Bloodflame effect combos really well with Borealis Mist or Dragonice.You can absolutely combo a huge chunk off health off as it hits 4 times in one swipe. It is totally viable. I personally really enjoy dual wielding 2 Elenora's poleblades. It has a lot of bleed potential and variability to moveset. Can either use regular attacks, jump attacks, or the weapon art. It is a ton of fun.For a comparison: At base stats you'll have 475 AR with 57 Bleed. On a pure Dex build you'll have 544 AR with 57 Bleed. On a pure Arc build you'll have 584 AR with 83 Bleed. 40/40 would result in more damage than pure Dex but less damage and less bleed than pure Arcane (554 AR & 72 Bleed). If you'd go 80/80 you'd reach 653 AR with 83 Bleed.

The only thing the Poleblade may win in is the Weapon Art, which staggers enemies faster and easier. However, Rivers of Blood does WAY more damage and builds bleed just as, if not faster than the Poleblade. With a Bleed Uchi, Rivers of Blood is way better than just the Poleblade. Thoughts on the newly fixed Rivers of Blood katana and Eleonora's Poleblade? Just loaded in my arcane/dex character and holy crap these things are strong. I'm genuinely glad that FromSoft was able to fix this in a such a short amount of time but I do think that the weapons might be a bit too strong?For instance, pairing it with Eleonora's Poleblade and infusing the Godskin Peeler with Cold means that you can build up Frostbite and trigger it again and again due to the Fire damage provided by Eleonora's Poleblade.
