Monitored voltage while driving and noticed that, under acceleration, while maintaining speed, and while parked, voltage would drop to 12.0-12.2 volts. But while coasting at speed, voltage would go up to 13.7-14.2. Went to auto parts store and they diagnosed a faulty voltage regulator.I installed an aftermarket solar panel to my Jeep and it has helped (See attached picture). Normally I would start out the week with full charge of 12.8V + and usually by the following Saturday the Jeeps battery voltage would be down to 12.2 to 12.3V. Now with the solar panel system installed the battery voltage measured 12.5V this last Saturday.

Well dealer cleared the codes, said no SW updates applied, sent the Jeep back to me saying if it happens again bring it back. One thing I noticed is that after I removed the Tazer my battery voltage stays at at steady 14.0-14.1. Only dropping to 13.x briefly after a ESS cycle. With the Tazer installed my voltage was around 13.5V steady state.I didn't pay attention at first, but my ESS stopped working and voltage was a constant 14.7V. Dealer charged battery and said problem fixed, voltage down to 14.2V and ESS working. Slowly started creeping back up, 14.5V , and ESS stopped working. Back to dealer had it again for an entire day, just charged the battery.Took the wrangler in for an inspection and to talk to someone about it. On the drive in, voltage showed a steady 14.2V and the Stop/Start message was gone. AGM seems to run 12.7-12.8 (depending on the sources of the information) In any case, 12.37 is far from fully charged. Most info says my battery at 12.37 is 60-70% charged.

Some people have suggested--and I think them purists--that because the 2 batteries are of different types that it's best to charge them separately. But I don't think your rig does, so why should you?
