I personally think the 03/04 Cobra supercharger upgrade kit from Whipple is a dream come true. The kit is about $3,200 and the configuration, size and power potential is perfect for any street application. The Whipple twin screw is the most effecient of all superchargers and its nicely pack under the hood. Most Toyota/Lexus enthusiasts claim that the 1UZ V8 is capable of withstanding around 500 horsepower with stock internals with a quality tune. Turbocharging is the more common and easy method of FI on a 1UZ-FE. There tend to be more options and premade 1UZ-FE turbo kits available than 1UZ-FE supercharger kits. Enthusiasts have done both though.
