VTI/VXUS would be the same as FZROX/FZILX. The expense would be barely noticeable from the zero expense fidelity funds. Personally, I do 80/20 FZROX/FZILX in my Roth. The only thing about fidelity zero funds are its lack of portability. If for some reason you decide to leave fidelity, the zero funds cannot go with you.If it's a tax-advantaged account (like an IRA or 401K), then go ahead and sell them; use the money to buy more VTI and VXUS. These small companies add diversification to FSKAX, and they likely also increase expected returns. FTIHX's 0.06% ER is still incredibly low, especially for an international fund. That 0.06% ER gets you roughly 2500 extra holdings over FZILX, individually they'll be a tiny tiny part of the fund (many may not even register at 0.001%). It is hard to go wrong with either. The difference is that the former holds large-cap and some mid-cap, while the latter holds large-cap, a bit more mid-cap, and small-cap (the latter comes closer to matching the total market). Short version: FTIHX has small-cap, FSGGX doesn't. There is only one success - to be able to spend your life in your own way. (Christopher Morley) mervinj7.
