Oh my god.get jesters gloves, warlock helm (in shaded woods now) or alterativly, kill titchy gren and get his armor/hood. Not sure if there's a boots version of soul gain+ equip but either way; with these items you'll get tons of souls. Iron Keep is best, leave your sign at 2nd bonfire after smelter and help people out while you're at it.
