(For example, 10k mile oil change done in 6 months is probably fine, I wouldn't wait 10k miles if it takes you 2 years to reach it).But to answer the op's question, Mann, Mahle, and Wix are all good filters. It can be hard to catch counterfeit items as mentioned above.
