I have had no problems. My jeep has a pioneer 1770nex which is the cheapest model and its CarPlay is wired. I like it and was doing fine but every now and then it goes out screen wise and decides not to play. There is an other option in between price wise I have been looking at. 2660nex. I have only had issues with the port if I get fuzz and lint and junk like that in my phone charging port, as long as I keep that clean I havent had any issues.Jeep's official answer was use the dash USB port for carplay because the console port doesn't support it. The dash ports have worked every time for every phone and cable I've tried in multiple Wranglers.
