Should I simply remove that and add the one from the PEK kit, or keep the one in the picture and add the PEK kit one too, to the same terminal? -Yes, you need the PEK because your thermostat wire bundle has only 4 wires. The blue wire in the thermostat bundle is the Y wire. Think of the wire nuts as the terminal. It is perfectly fine to connect another wire to (in your case, from the PEK) to the C wire using the same wire nut the Compressor wire is currently using. 2.
