Honestly a better solution would be to allow the player to disassemble the log pile and gain 5 logs from it. Of course with this small log piles would no longer be containers. If you have the nails to spare, wooden walls can be made more quickly and because you have to saw the planks, you level up your carpentry more than you do with the log walls.
