We usually carry 2 avg sized poeple and fishing equipment. (Battery, Minn Kota trolling mtr, gas tank...) I looked at the part on searsparts online and the primer bulb is avaible but is like $24.00 and it appears to have the same hole as mine. Recently I acquired a 15HP Gamefisher inexpensively because it wouldn't start. Model 225 581508, Serial OE144599. If I read the boards correctly this makes it a 1996 by Force. The gentleman I got the engine from said there wasn't any spark and he just didn't want to deal with it. I got it home, pulled the flywheel and cleaned the coil faces …

I still have a Gamefisher/Tanaka 3HP and it's a good little motor. I'm guessing that Tanaka made the entire line for Gamefisher, but my 3HP is for sure a Tanaka.

The impeller fins are straight when new, but they take a "set" from being bent over in the waterpump housing over time, normal, but not good. The impeller should be replaced every 2 years, or if you don't know it's age.

The water pump is working great and the engine is also. It cost me $100.00 but he threw in a 80s 9.9 Force motor with a bad cylinder to use as a parts motor.
