Going dry on slayer bosses gives you slayer xp, going dry at Zulrah gives you skilling supplies. CG only pumps out raw gp (very low value to an endgame ironman) and more gems than you'll ever need. You also get armor seeds, but they're useless without the enhanced seed since regular crystal bow is still trash.It's nice to use even with regular gear, it allows you to do stuff like zammy/bandos even though they're not optimized.
