When you press the brake there's a sensor that tells the sifter you have your foot on the brake and it's ok to release the truck from park to drive or reverese. Not sure if it's the same issue but it sounds the same. It was an easy fix on the Jetta and like a $30 ...I bought my 2013 Altima brand new. I'm the only driver.
