Uspsa holster rules
This rule has been in the book since at least the old 2001 Red covered book because it was the first USPSA/IPSC rule I ran afoul of at my very first match. I was using an Uncle Mike’s holster with a sewn on snap strap. I was advised I had to have the strap applied to start the stage or I could remove the strap.A brief breakdown of how to best set up your holster angle for competition shootingI really think the rule changes to production and CO killed production. I think CO is to much like open and production is to much like limited. Most people want to avoid reloads so production took a dive. I think the gun and holster rules need to go back to how they used to be but up the capacity to 15.

It is always a good idea to skim the rules before attending your first match. It gets you familiar with the safety rules and the stage procedures. Holsters: Unless you are shooting PCC division, or a rimfire division in SCSA, you will need a holster that prevents access and activation of the trigger while the handgun is holstered. There are ...Shoulder holsters, fanny packs, et al, are not permissible at USPSA events. Further, several divisions have additional holster restrictions.
