I am charging my heat pump it is an r410a and its about 90 degrees outside i have gotten the low side up from about 100psi to 130 and the high side from around 300psi to 340-50 is this about right what should my pressures be. The 410a part of the gauge is reading 44 low and 106 for high. The 410a operating pressure is 7.037 Barg or 102.036 psig. ... For air conditioning system, R22 pressure in discharge is250psi and suction in67psi. But for R410A pressure will be more higher that R22. So what pressure is normal for air-conditioning systems. Besides that normal R22 ... Nov 16, 2020What should my normal operating pressures on 410a systems be? R410a suction pressure may be around 120psi, and R410a head pressure may be anywhere from 225psi to 350psi. Many conditions could apply here, there’s absolutely ‘no’ set point pressure for 410a, r22, or anything else. UL Recognized Component. Many service technicians often become confused when the liquid line becomes restricted in the refrigeration system. This is because the symptoms often look like an undercharge of refrigerant. This article covers a refrigeration system with a restricted liquid line after the receiver using R-134a as the refrigerant. The refrigeration system is a low temperature freezer with a receiver and a TXV.i just installed a new split unit r-410a a/c system. it is running at 285/120 psig. the high side seems way low, should be about 420. the correct orifice is installed. this is a 1.5 ton condenser, 2 ton evaporator, and a 0.051 inch orifice. thanks for any suggestions. hvac Share Improve this question Follow asked Aug 12, 2017 at 14:02 farmerjohnAug 12, 2017 · r-410a pressure problem, 285/120 psig. i just installed a new split unit r-410a a/c system. it is running at 285/120 psig. the high side seems way low, should be about 420. the correct orifice is installed. this is a 1.5 ton condenser, 2 ton evaporator, and a 0.051 inch orifice. thanks for any suggestions. The condenser comes charged with 15 feet of 410A. My install has 40 feet of 3/8" and 7/8" line total --- leaving 25 feet needing additional refrigerant. (Goodman suggest adding .6 oz per foot of liquid line) but that seems to be high. While the unit is operating, measure the dry bulb temperature at the condensing unit.Apr 10, 2009 · The manual states that the design pressure should be 255/465 psi. The running pressure is about 200 on the fluid line and 150 on the exhaust line. This is what my installer feels like a good pressure. However, the company that sold me the system said that the pressure should be ~100psi on either line.

With 75 indoor you should be running approximately 190 on the low side. The correct way to charge the unit would have been to weigh the charge in and in the cooling mode. So if you have 190 suction I would leave it as is and return when it is warm (70) outside to adjust the charge. If low side pressure is low/normal but the evaporator outlet temperature is higher than normal then suspect that the TXV valve may be restricted. Possibly from debris or because it is stuck and not metering enough refrigerant into the evaporator. Refer to the R134a pressure temperature relationship chart on page 5.
